Saltaire Archives

Low winter sunlight burnished the whole sky,

bringing the hillside to life.

A couple of square built farmhouses had been painted

onto the landscape

A chimney yawned and stretched through the trees

Grey, blue smoke seeps out of the canopy like water

A wind pushes and pulls as shadows and light

move across the valley

A cloud, slowing a little

admires the view.
